Eric J. Almquist

President and CEO, Northern California Community Development Corporation

After graduation from Modesto Junior College, Eric and his wife, Judy, moved to Sacramento, CA where he continued his education at the University of California at Sacramento.  Eric completed his BA degree in Economics and attended graduate school and earned his Master’s Degree in Economics.  He holds a Doctorate Degree in Metaphysics.  While attending graduate school, he worked in banking and government until he entered the real estate profession in 1977. 

He earned his real estate broker’s license in 1977 and his general building contractor’s license in 1985.  He has also been a licensed residential care facility administrator.  Eric is an experienced court-appointed receiver as well as a qualified expert witness in Superior and Federal Bankruptcy Court on real estate, property management and appraisal matters.   During his real estate career he developed several office buildings and historic rehabilitation projects and consistently distinguished himself as a top producing real estate broker. He owned one of the largest commercial real estate brokerage companies in Sacramento.  Over his real estate career, he has rehabilitated in excess of 1,600 residential housing units.

He is active in the Oroville community.  Eric is a past member of the Oroville Association of Realtors and the Oroville Economic Development Corporation.  He served on the Board of Directors as Vice President for the Oroville Chamber of Commerce and is a past President of the Oroville Rotary Club.  He has served on the Butte County Board of Behavioral Health.

He is President of the Northern California Community Development Corporation, a non-profit 501©3 organization that operates Victory Village.  Victory Village is a seven year old substance abuse recovery program specifically for disabled Veterans.
